White runs Mountaineers past Bulls
Quarterback Pat White rushed for 175 yards and two touchdowns, while throwing for 86 yards and a touchdown to lead the No. 12 West Virginia Mountaineers to a 28-13 win over the South Florida Bulls on Saturday.
West Virginia was listed as a 7.5-point favorite on the road and was successful on covering the spread. The game’s final score fell UNDER the posted total (45.5).
Steve Slaton rushed for 89 yards and a TD on 27 carries for the Mountaineers, and Darius Reynaud had a 7-yard touchdown reception in the victory.
Carlton Hill gave the Bulls their only TD on a 11-yard run late in the fourth quarter.
