Penn State claims Outback Bowl

The Penn State Nittany Lions upset the No. 17 ranked Tennessee Volunteers 20-10 in the Outback Bowl on New Year’s Day.

Penn State won the game as a 4-point underdog, while the 30 combined points fell well UNDER the posted total of 41.

Anthony Morelli threw for 196 yards, completing 14-of-25 with one touchdown as the Lions scored 10-points in the fourth-quarter to pull out the win.

LaMarcus Coker rushed for a touchdown in the loss, carrying the ball five times for 36 yards in the loss.
