Wildcats Fall 35-7 Against LSU - Game Recap
The battle between the Tigers and Wildcats didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Kentucky was handed a 35-7 defeat on Saturday at Tiger Stadium.
LSU did not, however, defeat the Wildcats against the spread, which closed at 29.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 46.5.
Jarrett Lee completed 8 of 21 pass attempts for 169 yards for the Tigers in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Josh Clemons rushed for 69 yards for Kentucky, while Morgan Newton added 33 yards. Morgan Newton threw for 57 yards for the Wildcats, while receivers La'Rod King and Matt Roark had 31 and 19 yards respectively.
LSU outgained Kentucky 348-155 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 18-13 by the Tigers.
Kentucky lost the time of possession battle 31:13/28:47, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, LSU takes its act home to face Florida looking for another win. For Kentucky, they head on the road to face South Carolina.
