Tulane Defeats UAB 49-10 - Recap
The battle between the Green Wave and Blazers didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as UAB was handed a 49-10 defeat on Saturday at Legion Field.
The Green Wave were a 12-point underdog in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 54.5.
Ryan Griffin completed 22 of 26 pass attempts for 281 yards for the Green Wave in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Pat Shed rushed for 21 yards for UAB, while Greg Franklin added 15 yards. Bryan Ellis threw for 145 yards for the Blazers, while receivers D.J. Vinson and Jackie Williams had 48 and 31 yards respectively.
Tulane outgained UAB 540-193 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 28-10 by the Green Wave.
UAB lost the time of possession battle 41:57/18:03, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Tulane looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Duke. UAB will aim to get back on the winning track at East Carolina.
