Huskies slam Bulls
The Connecticut Huskies started the season off with an easy win Thursday night, as they steamrolled the Buffalo Bulls 38-0.
The Huskies had been favored by 18-points in the game and easily covered the spread. The 38 points scored were UNDER the night’s posted over/under total (49.5).
Huskies’ quarterback Matt Bonislawski had a strong game, completing 11-of-18 passes for 121 yards with a pair of touchdowns and an interception. Bonislawski also had a strong game on the ground, rushing for 72 yards on 12 carries with a touchdown. Connecticut running back Terry Caulley rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries.
Buffalo quarterback Stewart Sampsel was sacked four times and only completed 6-of-17 passes for 52 yards in the loss.
Connecticut takes on Liberty next week, while Buffalo will try to get back on track on the road versus Syracuse.
