Huskies survive scare by Owls

Donald Brown II rushed for a late touchdown to help the heavily favored Connecticut Huskies to a hard-fought 22-17 win over the Temple Owls Saturday afternoon.

Connecticut failed to cover the 31-point spread at home, and the 39 points were well UNDER the posted total of 52.

Brown finished with 13 carries for 54 yards, and Tony Ciaravino kicked three field goals for the Huskies.

Jason Harper ran with the ball 22 times for 13 yards and one touchdown for the Owls.
