Gross sets career high in win

Eugene Gross ran for 208 yards and two scores as Middle Tennessee State ran over Florida Atlantic 35-14 at Floyd Stadium on Saturday.

The Blue Raiders covered the 11.5-point spread at home, and the 49 points scored were OVER the posted total of 39.5.

Gross carried the ball 21 times in the contest, and Clint Marks went 5-for-11 for 71 yards and an interception. Desmond Gee ran six times for 35 yards and a score for the Blue Raiders.

Rusty Smith was 18-for-30 for 223 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, while Charles Pierre rushed for 86 yards on 22 attempts for the Owls.
