San Diego State Defeats Cal Poly 49-21 - Recap
Ronnie Hillman tore up the turf for 189 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Aztecs to a 49-21 win over the Mustangs at Qualcomm Stadium.
The Aztecs were a 25.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 62.5.
Ryan Lindley completed 15 of 27 pass attempts for 203 yards for the Aztecs in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Mark Rodgers rushed for 51 yards for Cal Poly, while Jake Romanelli added 35 yards. Andre Broadous threw for 95 yards for the Mustangs, while receivers Lance Castaneda and Brandon Michalkiewicz had 63 and 54 yards respectively.
Cal Poly lost the offensive yardage battle to San Diego State 492-284 yards in Saturday's game. San Diego State had more first downs as that total ended up 22-12.
Cal Poly lost the time of possession battle 36:08/23:52, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
