Longhorns explode to defeat Cowboys
The No. 2 Texas Longhorns exploded for 35 points in the second half Saturday to come from behind and defeat the Oklahoma State Cowboys by a 47-28 final score.
The Longhorns, however, still failed to cover the huge, 38-point spread in this contest. The combined score went OVER the game’s posted total (58.5).
Texas QB Vince Young went 15-of-30 for 239 yards in the win, throwing two TD passes and running for two scores. David Thomas and Neale Tweedie each had TD catches, while Ramonce Taylor picked up two rushing touchdowns.
Al Pena was good on 12-of-27 pass attempts for 153 yards for Oklahoma State, tossing two TD strikes to D’Juan Woods. Pena and Julius Crosslin each ran for Cowboys scores.
