Mocassins Fall 62-24 Against Auburn - Game Recap
Cam Newton threw for 317 yards to lead the Tigers over Chattanooga 62-24 on Saturday in Week 10 action at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Auburn did not, however, defeat the Mocassins against the spread, which closed at 43 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 73.5.
Mario Fannin rushed for 96 yards, while Michael Dyer added 76 yards in the win. Terrell Zachery and Darvin Adams added 148 and 106 receiving yards respectively.
Chris Awuah rushed for 32 yards for Chattanooga, while Keon Williams added 31 yards. B.J. Coleman threw for 210 yards for the Mocassins, while receivers Brian Sutherland and Jarrett Burns had 97 and 48 yards respectively.
Auburn outgained Chattanooga 628-334 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 26-22 by the Tigers.
The time of possession battle favored Chattanooga as their offense was on the field for 37:02, longer than the 22:58 of their opponents.
