Recap - Cougars Defeat UNLV 35-27
Connor Halliday threw for 378 yards to lead the Cougars over UNLV 35-27 on Friday in Week 3 action at Sam Boyd Stadium.
The Cougars earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the 8.5-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 55.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Carl Winston rushed for 58 yards, while Leon Brooks added 35 yards in the win. Gabe Marks and Marquess Wilson added 126 and 110 receiving yards respectively.
Tim Cornett rushed for 89 yards for UNLV, while Bradley Randle added 18 yards. Nick Sherry threw for 351 yards for the Rebels, while receivers Marcus Sullivan and Caleb Herring had 136 and 68 yards respectively.
UNLV was outgained by Washington State 461-460 yards in Friday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 26-18 by the Rebels.
Washington State lost the time of possession battle 35:32/24:28, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Washington State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Colorado. UNLV will aim to get back on the winning track vs Air Force.
