Trojans storm back to burn Sun Devils
The top-ranked USC Trojans roared back from a huge halftime deficit to bury the Arizona State Sun Devils 38-28 on Saturday.
USC was favored by 15 points and failed to cover the spread. The combined total points scored of 66 was UNDER the posted over/under mark of 72.
Trojans' RB LenDale White piled up a whopping 197 yards on 19 carries to lead the comeback, while backfield mate Reggie Bush broke loose for 158 yards on 17 carries. Both backs also scored a pair of touchdowns, all of them coming in the second half of the game. QB Matt Leinart completed 23-of-40 passing attempts for 258 yards and no interceptions.
For the Sun Devils, QB Sam Keller was good on 26-of-45 passing attempts for 350 yards and a pair of touchdowns, but was sacked five times and also threw five interceptions. Tight end Jamaal Lewis snared five receptions for 71 yards and a TD.
USC improves to 4-0 this season, while Arizona State, ranked 14th in the nation coming into the game, falls to 4-1.
