UCLA Falls 55-34 to Sun Devils - Recap
Brock Osweiler sliced and diced the Bruins defense for 380 yards as Arizona State handed UCLA a 55-34 defeat on Friday at Sun Devil Stadium.
Arizona State won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the 13-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 49.5.
Cameron Marshall rushed for 147 yards, while Brock Osweiler added 35 yards in the win. Deantre Lewis and T.J. Simpson added 105 and 78 receiving yards respectively.
Johnathan Franklin rushed for 73 yards for UCLA, while Richard Brehaut added 18 yards. Richard Brehaut threw for 321 yards for the Bruins, while receivers Taylor Embree and Nelson Rosario had 105 and 65 yards respectively.
Arizona State outgained UCLA 595-442 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 30-23 by the Bruins.
The time of possession battle favored UCLA as their offense was on the field for 32:24, longer than the 27:36 of their opponents.
Next game, Arizona State takes its act on the road to face Arizona looking for another win. For UCLA, they head home to face Southern Cal.
