BYU Falls 31-16 to Aggies - Recap
The Aggies grabbed a Week 5 victory over the Cougars on Friday, winning 31-16 at Romney Stadium.
Utah State was the ATS victor, as they covered the 4.5-point spread as an underdog. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 51.5 were rewarded at the payout window.
Diondre Borel completed 10 of 13 pass attempts for 192 yards for the Aggies in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
JJ Di Luigi rushed for 42 yards for BYU, while Joshua Quezada added 20 yards. Jake Heaps threw for 270 yards for the Cougars, while receivers McKay Jacobson and JJ Di Luigi had 85 and 62 yards respectively.
BYU lost the offensive yardage battle to Utah State 434-335 yards in Friday's game. BYU had more first downs as that total ended up 22-19.
The time of possession battle favored Utah State as their offense was on the field for 33:25, longer than the 26:35 of their opponents.
Next game, Utah State takes its act on the road to face Louisiana Tech looking for another win. For BYU, they head home to face San Diego State.
