Fighting Irish storm back
The No. 12 Notre Dame Fighting Irish came back and scored 19 fourth-quarter points to help defeat the Michigan State Spartans 40-37 Saturday night.
Notre Dame came into the game as a 3-point favorite on the road and failed to cover the spread, while the final score sailed OVER the posted total (58).
Brady Quinn threw five TD passes, completing 20-of-37 for 319 yards and one interception in the win.
Kerry Reed caught two passes for 50 yards and scored two touchdowns in the loss for Michigan State.
