Ball State stuns Northern Illinois

Joey Lynch threw for 186 yards and three touchdowns on Saturday and the Ball State Cardinals upset the Northern Illinois Huskies 31-17.

The Cardinals won this game as huge 28-point underdogs on the road. The game’s combined 48 points fell UNDER the posted total (59).

Charles Wynn ran for 122 yards and a TD on 22 carries, while Terry Moss, Chris Clancy and Louis Johnson all had touchdown receptions for Ball State.

Quarterback Phil Horvath threw a touchdown to Britt Davis, and A.J. Harris added a touchdown on the ground in the loss for Northern Illinois.
