The battle between the Roadrunners and Panthers didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Georgia State was handed a 38-14 defeat on Saturday at Georgia Dome.

Eric Soza completed 17 of 24 pass attempts for 206 yards for the Roadrunners in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.

Donald Russell rushed for 76 yards for Georgia State, while Travis Evans added 22 yards. Ben McLane threw for 126 yards for the Panthers, while receivers Albert Wilson and Lynquez Blair had 150 and 41 yards respectively.

UTSA outgained Georgia State 442-307 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 26-13 by the Roadrunners.

The time of possession battle favored UTSA as their offense was on the field for 41:29, longer than the 18:31 of their opponents.
