Beavers Fall 23-6 Against California - Game Recap

Isi Sofele scampered through the Oregon State defense for 190 yards as California handed the Beavers a 23-6 defeat on Saturday at AT&T Park.

The Golden Bears were a 8-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 52.5.

Zach Maynard completed 13 of 19 pass attempts for 128 yards for the Golden Bears in the win. He was picked off 1 time by the Beavers defense.

Jovan Stevenson rushed for 15 yards for Oregon State, while Markus Wheaton added 15 yards. Sean Mannion threw for 247 yards for the Beavers, while receivers James Rodgers and Markus Wheaton had 76 and 50 yards respectively.

Oregon State lost the offensive yardage battle to California 424-270 yards in Saturday's game. California had more first downs as that total ended up 24-18.

Oregon State lost the time of possession battle 36:24/23:36, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, California takes its act on the road to face Stanford looking for another win. For Oregon State, they head home to face Washington.
