Falcons Fall 41-27 Against San Diego State - Game Recap
Ronnie Hillman scampered through the Air Force defense for 172 yards as San Diego State handed the Falcons a 41-27 defeat on Thursday at Falcon Stadium.
San Diego State won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the 7-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 59.5.
Ryan Lindley completed 15 of 21 pass attempts for 209 yards for the Aztecs in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Asher Clark rushed for 72 yards for Air Force, while Mikel Hunter added 62 yards. Tim Jefferson threw for 224 yards for the Falcons, while receivers Jonathan Warzeka and Zack Kauth had 96 and 40 yards respectively.
San Diego State was outgained by Air Force 419-410 yards in Thursday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 26-20 by the Falcons.
The time of possession battle favored Air Force as their offense was on the field for 33:20, longer than the 26:40 of their opponents.
