Louisiana Tech vs Texas State Recap - Bulldogs Win 62-55
Colby Cameron's 337-yard performance through the air was the key in Louisiana Tech's 62-55 win over Texas State on Saturday at Bobcat Stadium.
Louisiana Tech did not, however, defeat the Bobcats against the spread, which closed at 19.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 69.5.
Ray Holley rushed for 145 yards, while Kenneth Dixon added 144 yards in the win. D.J. Banks and Quinton Patton added 96 and 86 receiving yards respectively.
Marcus Curry rushed for 134 yards for Texas State, while Shaun Rutherford added 90 yards. Shaun Rutherford threw for 234 yards for the Bobcats, while receivers Bradley Miller and Chase Harper had 65 and 61 yards respectively.
Texas State lost the offensive yardage battle to Louisiana Tech 627-577 yards in Saturday's game. Louisiana Tech had more first downs as that total ended up 38-31.
Louisiana Tech led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 31:34/28:26 split in that important category.
Next game, Louisiana Tech takes its act home to face Utah State looking for another win. For Texas State, they head on the road to face Navy.
