Central Florida Defeats Ball State 38-17 - Recap

The battle between the Knights and Cardinals didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Ball State was handed a 38-17 defeat on Friday at Tropicana Field.

Central Florida was a favorite by 7 points and came through with an ATS victory for bettors. The game went UNDER the consensus closing total of 59.5.

Blake Bortles completed 22 of 33 pass attempts for 272 yards for the Knights in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.

Jahwan Edwards rushed for 89 yards for Ball State, while Horactio Banks added 1 yards. Keith Wenning threw for 217 yards for the Cardinals, while receivers Willie Snead and Zane Fakes had 78 and 57 yards respectively.

Ball State was outgained by Central Florida 494-288 yards in Friday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 33-23 by the Knights.
