Roadrunners Fall 34-10 Against Marshall - Game Recap
UTSA couldn't hang with the Thundering Herd on Saturday as Marshall blasted the Roadrunners 34-10 in Week 6 action at Joan C. Edwards Stadium.
The Thundering Herd were a 16.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 65.5.
Rakeem Cato completed 22 of 32 pass attempts for 279 yards for the Thundering Herd in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Aaron Grubb rushed for 29 yards for UTSA, while Brandon Armstrong added 28 yards. Eric Soza threw for 130 yards for the Roadrunners, while receivers Kenny Bias and CheRod Simpson had 27 and 23 yards respectively.
UTSA was outgained by Marshall 404-254 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 23-16 by the Thundering Herd.
UTSA lost the time of possession battle 30:20/29:40, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Marshall looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Florida Atlantic. UTSA will aim to get back on the winning track vs Rice.
