Recap - Blue Devils Defeat Troy 38-31
Brandon Connette was good for 324 yards through the air on Saturday as the Blue Devils got past the Trojans by a score of 38-31 at Wallace Wade Stadium.
Duke won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the 13.5-point spread. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 66.5.
Josh Snead rushed for 108 yards, while Brandon Connette added 55 yards in the win. Jamison Crowder and Johnell Barnes added 149 and 73 receiving yards respectively.
Brandon Burks rushed for 68 yards for Troy, while Deon Anthony added 38 yards. Corey Robinson threw for 354 yards for the Trojans, while receivers Bryan Holmes and Eric Thomas had 82 and 77 yards respectively.
Duke outgained Troy 514-512 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 29-21 by the Trojans.
The time of possession battle favored Troy as their offense was on the field for 34:24, longer than the 25:36 of their opponents.
Duke looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Navy. Troy will aim to get back on the winning track vs South Alabama.
