Florida International vs Louisville Wrap - Louisville Wins 72-0
The battle between the Cardinals and Golden Panthers didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Florida International was handed a 72-0 defeat on Saturday at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.
Louisville won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the 41-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 55.5.
Teddy Bridgewater completed 17 of 22 pass attempts for 212 yards for the Cardinals in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Alfonso Randolph rushed for 13 yards for Florida International, while Silas Spearman added 12 yards. E.J. Hilliard threw for 27 yards for the Golden Panthers, while receivers Ya'keem Griner and Clinton Taylor had 13 and 10 yards respectively.
Louisville outgained Florida International 464-30 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 20-2 by the Cardinals.
The time of possession battle favored Florida International as their offense was on the field for 32:20, longer than the 27:40 of their opponents.
Louisville looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Temple. Florida International will aim to get back on the winning track at Southern Miss.
