Crimson Tide vs Tigers Final: 38-17 - Recap
T.J. Yeldon scampered through the LSU defense for 133 yards as Alabama handed the Tigers a 38-17 defeat on Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Alabama was the ATS victor, as they covered the 14-point spread as a favorite. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 55.5 were rewarded at the payout window.
AJ McCarron completed 14 of 20 pass attempts for 179 yards for the Crimson Tide in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Jeremy Hill rushed for 42 yards for LSU, while Terrence Magee added 31 yards. Zach Mettenberger threw for 241 yards for the Tigers, while receivers Jarvis Landry and Jeremy Hill had 90 and 47 yards respectively.
LSU lost the offensive yardage battle to Alabama 372-284 yards in Saturday's game. Alabama had more first downs as that total ended up 25-16.
LSU lost the time of possession battle 33:51/26:09, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, Alabama takes its act on the road to face Mississippi State looking for another win. For LSU, they head home to face Texas A&M.
