J.J. Green scampered through the Tennessee defense for 129 yards as Georgia handed the Volunteers a 34-31 defeat on Saturday at Neyland Stadium.
Georgia did not, however, defeat the Volunteers against the spread, which closed at 13.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 64.5.
Aaron Murray completed 19 of 35 pass attempts for 196 yards for the Bulldogs in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Rajion Neal rushed for 148 yards for Tennessee, while Pig Howard added 46 yards. Justin Worley threw for 215 yards for the Volunteers, while receivers Pig Howard and MarQuez North had 70 and 47 yards respectively.
Tennessee was outgained by Georgia 434-404 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 22-18 by the Bulldogs.
The time of possession battle favored Tennessee as their offense was on the field for 30:44, longer than the 29:16 of their opponents.
Georgia looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Missouri. Tennessee will aim to get back on the winning track vs South Carolina.
