Toledo Defeats Eastern Michigan 55-16 - Recap
Terrance Owens led the way with 375 passing yards on Saturday as the Rockets picked up a 55-16 victory over the Eagles at Glass Bowl.
Toledo won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the 30.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 66.5.
Kareem Hunt rushed for 168 yards, while Damion Jones-Moore added 67 yards in the win. Justin Olack and Bernard Reedy added 110 and 84 receiving yards respectively.
Ryan Brumfield rushed for 67 yards for Eastern Michigan, while Javonti Greene added 20 yards. Brogan Roback threw for 209 yards for the Eagles, while receivers Dustin Creel and Jay Jones had 115 and 58 yards respectively.
Eastern Michigan lost the offensive yardage battle to Toledo 729-309 yards in Saturday's game. Toledo had more first downs as that total ended up 34-15.
The time of possession battle favored Toledo as their offense was on the field for 34:50, longer than the 25:10 of their opponents.
Next game, Toledo takes its act home to face Buffalo looking for another win. For Eastern Michigan, they head home to face Western Michigan.
