Vanderbilt Falls 51-28 to Tigers - Recap
The battle between the Tigers and Commodores didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Vanderbilt was handed a 51-28 defeat on Saturday at Vanderbilt Stadium.
Missouri was the ATS victor, as they covered the 2.5-point spread as a favorite. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 56.5 were rewarded at the payout window.
James Franklin completed 19 of 28 pass attempts for 278 yards for the Tigers in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Jerron Seymour rushed for 65 yards for Vanderbilt, while Wesley Tate added 27 yards. Austyn Carta-Samuels threw for 338 yards for the Commodores, while receivers Jordan Matthews and Jonathan Krause had 123 and 81 yards respectively.
Vanderbilt lost the offensive yardage battle to Missouri 523-468 yards in Saturday's game. Missouri had more first downs as that total ended up 29-27.
The time of possession battle favored Vanderbilt as their offense was on the field for 30:02, longer than the 29:58 of their opponents.
Missouri looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Georgia. Vanderbilt will aim to get back on the winning track vs Georgia.
