Troy Defeats Western Kentucky 32-26 - Recap
Corey Robinson threw for 306 yards to lead the Trojans over Western Kentucky 32-26 on Saturday in Week 9 action at L.T. Smith Stadium.
The Trojans were a 10.5-point underdog in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 62.5.
Brandon Burks rushed for 52 yards, while Jordan Chunn added 19 yards in the win. Eric Thomas and Bryan Holmes added 74 and 68 receiving yards respectively.
Antonio Andrews rushed for 144 yards for Western Kentucky, while Nelson Fishback added 14 yards. Brandon Doughty threw for 387 yards for the Hilltoppers, while receivers Antonio Andrews and Tim Gorski had 125 and 45 yards respectively.
Troy lost the offensive yardage battle to Western Kentucky 532-397 yards in Saturday's game. Western Kentucky had more first downs as that total ended up 29-18.
The time of possession battle favored Western Kentucky as their offense was on the field for 36:29, longer than the 23:31 of their opponents.
Next game, Troy takes its act home to face Louisiana-Monroe looking for another win. For Western Kentucky, they head on the road to face Georgia State.
