Recap - Cardinals Defeat Army 40-14
Keith Wenning sliced and diced the Black Knights defense for 325 yards as Ball State handed Army a 40-14 defeat on Saturday at Scheumann Stadium.
Ball State won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the 9.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 59.5.
Teddy Williamson rushed for 58 yards, while Horactio Banks added 51 yards in the win. Jamill Smith and Jordan Williams added 83 and 77 receiving yards respectively.
Larry Dixon rushed for 107 yards for Army, while Raymond Maples added 84 yards. Angel Santiago threw for 49 yards for the Black Knights, while receivers Raymond Maples and Anthony Stephens had 27 and 21 yards respectively.
Ball State outgained Army 440-439 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 24-20 by the Cardinals.
Ball State lost the time of possession battle 32:19/27:41, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, Ball State takes its act on the road to face North Texas looking for another win. For Army, they head home to face Stanford.
