Rodrick Williams rushed for 22 yards for Minnesota, while David Cobb added 20 yards. Philip Nelson threw for 135 yards for the Golden Gophers, while receivers Derrick Engel and Isaac Fruechte had 67 and 29 yards respectively.
Minnesota lost the offensive yardage battle to Iowa 464-165 yards in Saturday's game. Iowa had more first downs as that total ended up 22-11.
