New Mexico State Falls 49-35 to Ragin` Cajuns - Recap
Alonzo Harris scampered through the New Mexico State defense for 106 yards as Louisiana-Lafayette handed the Aggies a 49-35 defeat on Saturday at Cajun Field.
Louisiana-Lafayette did not, however, defeat the Aggies against the spread, which closed at 32.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 67.5.
Terrance Broadway completed 14 of 20 pass attempts for 231 yards for the Ragin` Cajuns in the win. He was picked off 1 time by the Aggies defense.
Travaughn Colwell rushed for 58 yards for New Mexico State, while Xavier Hall added 29 yards. Andrew McDonald threw for 327 yards for the Aggies, while receivers Austin Franklin and Jerrel Brown had 140 and 66 yards respectively.
New Mexico State outgained Louisiana-Lafayette 450-440 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 25-21 by the Aggies.
Louisiana-Lafayette lost the time of possession battle 37:30/22:30, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, Louisiana-Lafayette takes its act home to face Troy looking for another win. For New Mexico State, they head home to face Boston College.
