Northern Illinois vs Massachusetts Recap - Huskies Win 63-19
Jordan Lynch scampered through the Massachusetts defense for 119 yards as Northern Illinois handed the Minutemen a 63-19 defeat on Saturday at Gillette Stadium.
The Huskies were a 26.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 60.5.
Jordan Lynch completed 10 of 13 pass attempts for 160 yards for the Huskies in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Lorenzo Woodley rushed for 163 yards for Massachusetts, while Shaquille Harris added 15 yards. Mike Wegzyn threw for 169 yards for the Minutemen, while receivers Tajae Sharpe and Elgin Long had 65 and 31 yards respectively.
Massachusetts lost the offensive yardage battle to Northern Illinois 612-324 yards in Saturday's game. Northern Illinois had more first downs as that total ended up 27-15.
The time of possession battle favored Massachusetts as their offense was on the field for 34:14, longer than the 25:46 of their opponents.
