Chiefs ground Jets
The Kansas City Jets shutout the New York Jets for three quarters Sunday afternoon as they posted a 27-7 win.
The Chiefs had been favored by 3-points in the game and easily covered the spread. The combined score was UNDER the posted over/under total (48).
Larry Johnson rushed for two touchdowns and 110 yards on nine carries. Priest Holmes rushed for 85 yards on 22 carries with a touchdown.
Chad Pennington struggled, completing 21-of-34 passes for 264 yards with an interception. Jay Fiedler threw the Jets’ lone touchdown late in the fourth quarter.
