Jets knock Buccaneers for first loss
Curtis Martin ran for two touchdowns Sunday to give the New York Jets a 14-12 win over the previously-unbeaten Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Bucs had been favored by 2.5 points on the road in this contest. The combined score fell UNDER the game’s posted total (32.5).
Jets QB Vinny Testaverde went 13-of-19 for 163 yards passing on the day, and was intercepted once.
For the Bucs, Brian Griese was good on 27-of-42 pass attempts for 226 yards, and also threw an interception. Matt Bryant kicked four field goals in the loss.
