Packers vs Vikings Final: 33-27 - Recap
The Packers got a 3-TD performance from Aaron Rodgers as Green Bay handed Minnesota a 33-27 defeat on Sunday at The Metrodome.
Green Bay did not, however, defeat the Vikings against the spread, which closed at 10 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 47.5.
James Starks rushed for 75 yards, while Ryan Grant added 29 yards in the win. Greg Jennings and James Jones added 147 and 63 receiving yards respectively.
Adrian Peterson rushed for 175 yards for Minnesota, while Christian Ponder added 31 yards. Christian Ponder threw for 219 yards for the Vikings, while receivers Michael Jenkins and Visanthe Shiancoe had 111 and 45 yards respectively.
Minnesota outgained Green Bay 435-421 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 25-22 by the Packers.
Minnesota lost the time of possession battle 32:06/27:54, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, Green Bay takes its act on the road to face San Diego looking for another win. For Minnesota, they head on the road to face Carolina.
