Oakland Falls 38-26 to Chargers - Recap
The Chargers got a 3-TD performance from Philip Rivers as San Diego handed Oakland a 38-26 defeat on Sunday at O.co Coliseum.
San Diego won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the 2.5-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 50.5.
Mike Tolbert rushed for 58 yards, while Curtis Brinkley added 52 yards in the win. Malcom Floyd and Antonio Gates added 127 and 106 receiving yards respectively.
Michael Bush rushed for 66 yards for Oakland, while Louis Murphy added 27 yards. Carson Palmer threw for 417 yards for the Raiders, while receivers Darrius Heyward-Bey and Denarius Moore had 130 and 101 yards respectively.
San Diego lost the offensive yardage battle to Oakland 520-463 yards in Sunday's game. Oakland had more first downs as that total ended up 28-25.
The time of possession battle favored San Diego as their offense was on the field for 30:27, longer than the 29:33 of their opponents.
