Jaguars slip past 49ers

Josh Scobee kicked a fourth quarter field goal Sunday afternoon to give the Jacksonville Jaguars a 10-9 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

The Jaguars had been favored by 15.5-points in the game, but could not cover the large spread. The combined score was UNDER the posted over/under total (36.5).

Jags’ quarterback David Garrard completed 21-of-40 passes for 216 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions, but he did run in for a score from 13 yards out. Fred Taylor rushed for 61 yards on 17 carries.

Alex Smith completed 8-of-24 passes for 123 yards with an interception for San Francisco. Joe Nedney kicked three field goals in the loss.
