Redskins rip Rams

Clinton Portis rushed for 136 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries Sunday to lead the Washington Redskins a 24-9 win over the St. Louis Rams.

The Redskins had been favored by 3.5-points in the game and easily covered the spread. The combined score was UNDER the posed over/under total (45.5).

Redskins’ quarterback Mark Brunell completed 14-of-21 passes for 156 yards and a touchdown. Chris Cooley caught five passes for 58 yards and a touchdown.

Ryan Fitzpatrick completed 21-of-36 passes for 163 yards with an interception for St. Louis. Stephen Jackson was held to 24 rushing yards on 11 carries.
