Steelers pound Titans
Ben Roethlisberger avoided any kind of a sophomore slump in week 1 of the NFL Sunday, as he led the Pittsburgh Steelers past the Tennessee Titans 34-7.
The Steelers had been favored by 6-points in the game and easily covered the spread. The combined score was OVER the posted over/under total (39.5).
Roethlisberger completed 9-of-11 passes for 218 yards with a pair of touchdown passes. William Parker had a monster day rushing for 161 yards on 22 carries with a touchdown.
Steve McNair completed 18-of-26 passes for 219 yards with a touchdown and an interception for Tennessee. Chris Brown and Travis Henry split the rushing duties with Brown running for 63 yards on 11 carries and Henry amassed 35 yards on 10 carries.
