Vinatieri kicks winner versus Pittsburgh
Adam Vinatieri booted the winning 43-yard field goal with one second remaining in the fourth quarter Sunday to give the New England Patriots a 23-20 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Patriots were a 3-point underdog in the game. The combined score was just OVER the posted over/under total (42).
Tom Brady completed 31-of-41 passes for 372 yards with an interception for New England. Corey Dillon rushed for 61 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries.
Steelers’ quarterback Ben Roethlisberger completed 12-of-28 passes for 216 yards and two touchdowns. Hines Ward caught four passes for 110 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
