Redskins suffer first loss in Denver
A failed two-point conversion attempt near the end of the fourth quarter Sunday sent the Washington Redskins to their first loss of the season, by a 21-19 score to the Denver Broncos.
The Broncos, however, failed to cover the 6.5-point spread in this contest. The combined score went OVER the game’s posted total (35).
Broncos QB Jake Plummer went 10-of-25 for 92 yards passing, hooking up with Ashley Lelie for a score. Tatum Bell ran for two Denver touchdowns.
For the Redskins, Mark Brunell was good on 30-of-53 pass attempts for 322 yards and two touchdowns. Both Mike Sellers and Chris Cooley had TD catches in the loss.
