Broncos score late to down Ravens
Jason Elam kicked a 44-yard field goal to break a tie and Rod Smith caught a TD pass late in the fourth quarter to seal the victory as the Denver Broncos toppled the Baltimore Ravens 13-3 Monday night.
Denver came into the game as 5.5-point favorites at Invesco Field and made good on covering the spread. The game’s 16 combined points fell well UNDER the posted total (33).
Jake Plummer completed 13-of-24 for 106 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Smith caught four balls and had 30 yards receiving as the Broncos move to 3-1 overall.
Steve McNair was picked off three times and made good on 20-of-34 for 165 yards, but could not find the end zone in the Ravens first loss of the season.
