The Colts got a 3-TD performance from Peyton Manning as Indianapolis handed Denver a 27-13 defeat on Sunday at INVESCO Field at Mile High.
The Colts were a 5.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 46.5.
Joseph Addai rushed for 29 yards, while Donald Brown added 12 yards in the win. Austin Collie and Reggie Wayne added 171 and 65 receiving yards respectively.
Laurence Maroney rushed for 24 yards for Denver, while Correll Buckhalter added 12 yards. Kyle Orton threw for 476 yards for the Broncos, while receivers Brandon Lloyd and Jabar Gaffney had 169 and 140 yards respectively.
Indianapolis lost the offensive yardage battle to Denver 519-365 yards in Sunday's game. Denver had more first downs as that total ended up 23-18.
The time of possession battle favored Indianapolis as their offense was on the field for 30:08, longer than the 29:52 of their opponents.
Next game, Indianapolis takes its act on the road to face Jacksonville looking for another win. For Denver, they head on the road to face Tennessee.
