Akers kicks Eagles past Raiders
David Akers booted a 23-yard field goal with nine seconds remaining in the fourth quarter Sunday to give the Philadelphia Eagles a 23-20 win over the Oakland Raiders.
The Eagles had been favored by 9-points in the game, but could not cover the spread. The combined score was UNDER the posted over/under total (46).
Eagles’ quarterback Donovan McNabb completed 30-of-52 passes for 365 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. Brian Westbrook caught six passes for 140 yards and touchdown, and rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries.
Kerry Collins completed 24-of-42 passes for 345 yards and two touchdowns for Oakland. Lamont Jordan was held to only 19 rushing yards on 16 carries with a touchdown reception in the loss.
