Colts cruise to win over 49ers
Edgerrin James and Dominic Rhodes each rushed for touchdowns Sunday as the Indianapolis Colts topped the San Francisco 49ers by a 28-3 final score.
The Colts also managed to cover the 16-point spread on the road in this contest. The combined score fell UNDER the game’s posted total (45.5).
Colts QB Peyton Manning went 23-of-31 for 255 yards and a touchdown in the win, but was also intercepted twice. Troy Walters had a TD catch, and Cato June ran back an interception for a score.
For the 49ers, Alex Smith completed 9-of-23 pass attempts for only 74 yards passing, and was picked off four times. Joe Nedney booted a field goal for San Francisco’s only points.
