Cardinals down Bears
Rookie Matt Leinart looked a lot better in his second preseason game Friday night, as the Arizona Cardinals defeated the Chicago Bears 23-16.
The Cardinals were a 4-point underdog in the game. The combined score was OVER the night’s posted over/under total (34).
Leinart entered the game in the second half and completed 15-of-21 passes for 144 yards with a touchdown. Kurt Warner got the start and completed 8-of-11 passes for 73 yards with a touchdown in the first half.
Chicago starting quarterback Rex Grossman completed 13-of-21 passes for 117 yards with an interception in the loss. Brian Griese took over for Grossman in the second half and completed 10-of-14 passes for 131 yards with a touchdown.
