Canucks Fall 8-1 Against Boston - Game Recap

The battle between the Bruins and Canucks didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Vancouver was handed an 8-1 defeat on Monday at TD Garden.

Boston was favored by -125 and came through for bettors backing them. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 5.

Mark Recchi (2), Andrew Ference, Daniel Paille, Michael Ryder, Chris Kelly, David Krejci, and Brad Marchand each scored for the Bruins in the victory. Ference opened the scoring for Boston, finding the back of the net at 0:11 of the second period. The goal was assisted by Rich Peverley and David Krejci.

Tim Thomas turned in a 40-save effort for the Bruins.

Vancouver got a goal from Jannik Hansen in the loss, but it wasn't enough.

On the power play, Boston went 2-for-4, while the Canucks were 0-for-8 with the man advantage.
