Big third period sparks Wild

The Minnesota Wild scored three goals in the third period of Friday's 5-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres at HSBC Arena.

The Wild came in as road underdogs at 170, and the six combined goals were a PUSH with the posted total of 6.

Dominic Moore struck twice in the first period, while Pavol Demitra, Keith Carney and Todd White added singles. Josh Harding stopped 35 shots for the Wild.

Michael Ryan broke the shutout with 3:59 left in the game, and Ryan Miller was replaced by Ty Conklin after allowing four goals on 22 shots for the Sabres.
