Los Angeles Ices Calgary 4-3 - Recap

Los Angeles earned a 4-3 victory over Calgary on Saturday, but needed a shootout to do it at Scotiabank Saddledome.

Bettors who backed the Kings were rewarded as +100 underdogs at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go OVER the closing total of 5.

The win was clinched by Justin Williams, who beat Miikka Kiprusoff in a shootout to gain the extra point in the standings for Los Angeles. Justin Williams, Rob Scuderi, and Dustin Brown each scored for the Kings in the victory. Scuderi opened the scoring for Los Angeles, finding the back of the net at 0:39 of the first period. The goal was assisted by Justin Williams and Ryan Smyth.

Jonathan Quick turned in a 32-save effort for the Kings.

Calgary got goals from Alex Tanguay (2) and Robyn Regehr in the loss, but it wasn't enough.

Miikka Kiprusoff stopped 30 of 33 shots for the Flames, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

Los Angeles scored 1 time on 4 chances on the power play, while Calgary went 1-for-4 with the man advantage.

Los Angeles looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Penguins. The Flames will aim to get back on the winning track vs Chicago.
